Hi there! I’m Daphne McLean, a cozy mystery writer who’s swapped the hustle of New Jersey for the charming tranquility of a small Connecticut town that feels plucked straight out of a storybook—think Stars Hollow vibes, but with fewer town meetings (thank goodness!).

My debut novel, Red Picket Fences, hit the shelves in February 2019, kicking off a love affair with small-town secrets, quirky characters, and the occasional murder mystery (fictional, of course!).

🚫 Dislikes: The itch of scratchy sweaters, the false promises of white chocolate (it’s not real chocolate, okay?), early mornings, hot avocado (seriously, why?), creepy crawlies, and the eternal struggle of not having enough time to read every book on my towering TBR list.

I’ve always been captivated by true crime, but my heart belongs to the cozy mystery genre, where intrigue meets humor, and the heroes always find time for tea. The ocean is my happy place, and I’m already dreaming up a beachside mystery series that will transport you to sun-drenched shores and salty breezes—just watch out for suspicious footprints in the sand!
